District Judge Steven Boyce agrees with Special Prosecutor Rob Wood that it’ll be cheaper for the state of Idaho to trial Lori Vallow Daybell and her husband of less than a year, Chad Daybell, together for the improper burial and disposal and conspiring to dispose of her two children, 17-year-old Tylee Ryan and 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow, in Chad Daybell’s backyard pet cemetery.
Lori Vallow Daybell and Chad Daybell lawyers, Mark Means and John Prior, set in the courtroom like bumps on a log trying to figure out how they’re going to get their clients out of the mess they put themselves in.
Just to be clear, Mark Means is Lori Vallow Daybell’s lawyer and John Prior is Chad Daybell’s lawyer. The biggest problems that both lawyers have is that the law did find Lori Vallow Daybell’s two dead children’s dead bodies buried in her spanking brand new husband’s backyard pet cemetery.
Now, I’m not a lawyer but I do know that a person can’t tell a judge and jury, “Those two children killed themselves and then buried themselves in that backyard pet cemetery out there.” Folks, the truth is in the pudding.
Therefore, it’ll take a miracle from all the gods to convince a judge and jury that Lori Vallow Daybell had nothing to do with her “fresh man” husband burying her two dead children, who DNA says are her children, in his backyard pet cemetery.
Mark Means and John Prior know this. Heck, it’s why they’ve tried everything from the ol’ “it’s the media’s fault trick,” throwing the kitchen sink at the court, to getting the court to throw out everything.
Needless to say, they haven’t been successful. And they haven’t been successful because county property records + marriage license + DNA don’t lie.
